Discover Hedeby Viking Shoes, Reversible.
Haithabu Viking Shoes, Reversible Shoes
These low shoes are highly authentic reconstructions based on finds from the Viking town of Haithabu (near Schleswig). They date to around 900-1150. They have a high cut with laces around the foot both above and below the ankle.
The shoes have a raised sole at the heel, which was common in Northern European shoes in the early Middle Ages.
However, please note: the durability of these reversible shoes may not meet modern requirements. They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks, and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages! Therefore, we recommend wearing footwear and, if necessary, insoles.
