Our soft-band shoes for children, men and women are made of thick buffalo leather. Each shoe consists of a single piece of leather, which is individually adjusted to the foot by lacing at the heel and lacing at the forefoot. The strap shoes can be worn barefoot or with wool socks.



This type of sandal was already known to the Romans and was often worn by ordinary people until the Middle Ages. They had no seams or complicated patterns and were therefore quickly made.

Please note:

The sturdiness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages! We therefore recommend wearing shoes, insoles if necessary or having rubber soles fitted from your chosen shoemaker. We would also like to point out that leather is a natural product and variations in colour and/or grain are quite common.
