These very sturdy medieval shoes with brass buckles reach to the ankle at the shaft. This simple shoe shape was especially popular among soldiers between approximately 1250 and 1500. Therefore, the shoe can be attributed to the Late Middle Ages. The smooth leather sole has a small heel.
