Shoes with straps, side laces, reversible seams

These authentic reconstructions of reversible medieval shoes were probably worn predominantly by noble women and men. They are inspired by archaeological finds from Schleswig and Konstanz and serve to represent approx. 1200-1500 AD.

The shoes have a fairly flat upper with laces on the side. The sole is made of vegetable-tanned cowhide with a thickness of approx. 4 mm. The upper has a thickness of approx. 10 mm. The shoes are handmade and sewn reversibly using an authentic method.

Please note:
The robustness of these reversible shoes may not meet modern requirements. Reversible shoes are quite sensitive to asphalt, cobblestones and gravel. These floor coverings did not yet exist in the Middle Ages. That is why we recommend using real wooden shoes, so-called trippes (item no. 3129030100).
