Give away Lace-Up Shoes, Side Laces, Reversible Seams.
Shoes with straps, side laces, reversible seams
These authentic reconstructions of medieval reversible shoes were probably worn predominantly by noble women and men. They are inspired by archaeological finds from Schleswig and Konstanz and are used to represent the period from around 1200–1500 AD.
The shoes have a fairly flat upper with lacing on the side. The sole is made of vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, approximately 4 mm thick. The upper is approximately 1.5 mm thick. The shoes are handmade and reversibly stitched using an authentic method.
Please note:
The robustness of these reversible shoes may not meet modern requirements. Reversible shoes are quite sensitive to asphalt, cobblestones, and gravel. These floor coverings did not yet exist in the Middle Ages. Therefore, we recommend using real wooden shoes, known as trippes (item no. 3129030100).
