Delight yourself with the Heimdall Viking Shoe, Brown
Heimdall Viking Shoe, Brown
A low shoe inspired by finds from the period 700-1200 AD. The leather upper is cut from a single piece, with only a portion lowered along the side seam. The shoe closes with two leather buttons that button crosswise across the instep. The triangular heel shape is typical of Viking Age footwear. The raised sole is fully nailed and very stable.
Attention:
The sturdiness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks, and gravel. These floor coverings didn't exist in the Middle Ages! Therefore, we recommend using boots, insoles if necessary, or fitting them with rubber soles from a shoemaker of your choice.
Details:
- Material: Vegetable tanned cowhide
- Upper leather: approx. 2.5 mm
- Leather sole: approx. 7 mm
- Sizes: 36 - 47
