Give a shoe with a late medieval buckle
Late medieval buckle shoe, light brown
During excavations in Constance, for example, a pair of half boots with a cut from the late Middle Ages were found, made of light-brown cowhide. The shaft above the buckles can be turned up or cuffed. It can be worn folded. The central strap, which has modern brass buckles, goes around the ankle and thus guarantees a particularly firm fit. The sole and flat heel are nailed on all sides and are extremely stable. With regular care, you can enjoy these shoes for a long time.
Caution: The durability of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks, and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages! Therefore, we recommend wearing tripes, insoles if necessary, or fitting them with rubber soles from a shoemaker of your choice.
