During excavations in Konstanz, for example, a pair of half boots with a late medieval upper made of light brown cowhide were found. The shaft above the buckles can be turned upwards or as a cuff. It can be worn folded up. The central strap, which has modern brass buckles, goes around the ankle and thus ensures comfort. for a particularly firm hold. The sole and flat heel are nailed all around and are extremely stable. With regular care, you will be able to enjoy these shoes for a long time.

Attention: The robustness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages! We therefore recommend wearing treads, if necessary insoles or equipping them with rubber soles from the shoemaker of your choice.
