When designing this sword, Battleblades wanted to combine the agility and maneuverability of a wakizashi with the reach and efficiency of a full-size katana.

The beautiful unokubi-zukuri style blade gives this katana perfect balance without sacrificing cutting performance.

A katana handcrafted using traditional methods

The nagasa is traditionally hand-forged and polished exclusively. It is made of extremely durable T10 steel and has an attractive, aggressive-looking hamon created by hardening in a clay jacket. The edge is carefully hand-polished to ensure a razor-sharp finish.

The hardwood tsuka is wrapped in brown silk in the katatemaki style and lavishly decorated with unique and finely crafted yōkai oni motifs on the fuchi, kashira, tsuba, and menuki. Brass habaki and seppa elegantly complete the ensemble.

A skirt with handmade dragons and buffalo horn and silk details

The all-black wooden scabbard is a true masterpiece. It features a beautiful hand-carved dragon and koiguchi, kojiri, and kurikata made of real buffalo horn. A brown sageo made of high-quality silk and several coats of black lacquer provide the finishing touches.

The samurai sword comes with a Battleblades Inc. embroidered silk pouch and a serial-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
