15th Century Linen and Cotton Crescent Veil: Elegant and Practical Headdress for Reenactments and LARP
Complete your medieval outfit with this crescent-shaped cap.
Veils were an essential part of women's wardrobe throughout medieval Europe, symbolizing modesty, social status, and religious devotion. They also served a practical purpose, helping to keep hair clean.
Depending on the period and the person, the veil was often combined with a cap to increase modesty.
Linen was the most common choice for bonnets, valued for its durability, ease of cleaning, and resistance to the elements. Wealthier women often wore veils made of finer fabrics, but natural or bleached linen remained a timeless classic.
This reproduction is a small semicircle. It can be worn under the chin as a cap or on the head as a small veil. When worn as a veil, it is suitable for those who desire a smaller veil, and is small enough to be suitable for children or teenagers.
It is made of a natural-colored cotton and linen blend (87% cotton, 13% linen).
Whether you represent a noblewoman, a merchant or a peasant, this veil is the perfect complement to your wardrobe.
