The Condor Tool Knife Valhalla Throwing Axe head is made from forged 1060 carbon steel and is heat-treated and annealed to a Rockwell hardness of approximately 50-55 Rockwell. The natural finish is a bare metal appearance that gives the axe that unique look. This finish, a perfected process of hand-hammering, adds a classic, enhanced look to an already well-made tool. Condor craftsmen use hand-forged equipment to preserve this traditional pattern, making it appear as if it was hand-forged over 200 years ago. The tanned hickory handle is sturdy and gives the axe an antique look. The included sheath is made of durable, high-quality, handmade brown leather.
