The Condor Tool Axe Head & Knife Valhalla Throwing Axe is made from drop forged 1060 carbon steel and is heat treated and annealed to a Rockwell hardness of approximately 50-55 Rockwell. The natural finish is a bare metal appearance that gives the axe that unique look. This finish, a perfected hand hammering process, adds a classic, enhanced look to an already well-made tool. Condor craftsmen use hand-held equipment to preserve this traditional pattern, making it look as if it was hand forged over 200 years ago. The tanned hickory handle is sturdy and gives the axe an antique look. The included sheath is made from durable, high-quality, hand-crafted brown leather.
