Our knee-length cotton tunic is made from durable cotton fabric with a woven herringbone pattern and features contrasting details made from canvas . It is elaborately crafted and is therefore designed as an outer garment.



The round neckline has a slit in the centre front and can be worn open or closed with a clasp as desired. The tunic has a straight cut and the slits in the side seams ensure sufficient freedom of movement.



The appearance and cut of the tunic correspond to the clothing of the High Middle Ages in Northern Europe. Typical of this period are the knee-length outer garments, simple cuts consisting mainly of rectangles and simple ornaments. Archaeological finds proving the simple cut were made, for example, in Bernuthsfeld (8th century) and Thorsberg (4th century). There are also numerous archaeological records of twill weaves with a herringbone pattern, for example from Haithabu and Birka .



The tunic is perfect for all Nordic people. For an authentic look, we recommend combining them with a leather belt.

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, measure horizontally at the fullest point. For tops, use your chest measurement as a guide.

If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
