Early medieval vallentin tunic, greyish blue/brown
The straight-cut tunic is made of cotton fabric. Slits in the side seams ensure sufficient freedom of movement. The neckline and hem are in contrasting colours. The round neckline has a slit in the centre of the front and can be worn open or closed with a clasp as desired.
This tunic is suitable for representing many tribes of northern and central Europe during the migration period and the early Middle Ages. Typical of this period are the knee-length outer garments, contrasting colour details and simple cuts composed mainly of rectangles.
The appearance and cut of this tunic are based on historical representations (Stuttgart Psalter and Bayeux Tapestry).
