The appearance and cut of this tunic are based on archaeological finds dating back to the 11th century. However, it is not a 100% reconstruction.



The Nederfrederiksmose bog body was found in 1898 near the village of Kragelund in Denmark. The so-called Kragelund Man is the first bog body to be photographically documented at this location. He was wearing short leather boots with his tunic and had bare legs.



Our knee-length cotton tunic is made of sturdy canvas and features decorative hand-sewn stitching. It is crafted with great care and is therefore designed exclusively as an outer garment. The tunic widens from the hips thanks to the geren (wedges) inserted in the front and centre back as well as in the side seams. The unusual cut of the sleeves ensures that the upper arm is wide and the forearm is cut normally.



The tunic is perfect for all Nordic people. For an authentic look, we recommend wearing them with a leather belt.

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, measure horizontally at the fullest point. For tops, use your chest measurement as a guide.

If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
