< br>In ancient times, a tunic was primarily understood to be an undergarment worn directly against the skin. In the Middle Ages, the tunic changed and was now worn as an outer garment. Although only a few fragments have survived, there are quite a few contemporary images, such as: b. miniatures showing medieval clothing and its scope.

Our medieval tunics are largely based on these sources. That is why they have a loose cut; in the Middle Ages they were girded with a belt. The length of the sleeves is approximately three-quarters of the way up the arm.

These tunics are suitable for both early and late medieval representations.
