Early medieval Albrecht tunic with border, black-blue

This knee-length cotton tunic is made of sturdy canvas and has a decorative braided cotton border. The sturdy fabric and decorative border make it clear that the tunic is worn as an outer garment.

The round neckline has a slit in the centre front and can be worn open or closed with a clasp as desired. The tunic is straight cut, slits in the side seams ensure sufficient freedom of movement.

The appearance and cut of the tunic correspond to the clothing of the High Middle Ages in Northern Europe. Typical of this period are the knee-length outer garments, simple cuts composed mainly of rectangles and simple ornaments.
