Early Viking Tinker Sword with Sharp Blade – The Roar of the North
Inspired by the finds of Trondheim, forged for modern warriors
The Early Viking Razor-Blade Sword designed by Michael 'Tinker' Pearce pays homage to the weapons used by northern jarls and warriors during the 9th century . Forged from 5160 steel and precision- ground , this functional sword not only captures the spirit of the Vikings of old, but offers a reliable tool for training and historical reenactment.
A design based on authentic historical findings
While not modeled on a specific piece, its design is inspired by swords found in Trondheim, Norway , featuring typical circular details in the hilt decoration and the use of simple, solid elements reminiscent of the Viking Age. Its riveted pommel and balanced profile make this blade a versatile companion for practitioners of historical European martial arts .
5160 spring steel , with a Rockwell hardness of 50-52 HRC , provides strength, flexibility, and durability . The balance achieved at 12 cm from the guard offers control without sacrificing force, ideal for real cuts and advanced training. Although the blade is not interchangeable with a nut system like other Tinker models, it can be replaced by expert swordsmen by riveting.
