The Cold Steel® Templar is a special throwing instrument for modern tournament and sports throwers.



Designed by blacksmith Dave Baker, it's inspired by an ancient historical throwing axe also known as a Hurlbat . It's made from a solid piece of carbon steel that's been tempered to spring hardness, has good throwing properties, and is just plain fun to throw. When it comes to getting stuck , the Templar always lands on target with a satisfying thud!



It has an axe-shaped head with a point at the top and back, and its handle tapers to a sharp point. This guarantees a strike at almost any distance and rotation, and thanks to its large top weight it is also suitable for long-distance throwing.
