Combat Saucer Cap – Bascinet Helmet without Visor, 2mm Steel
Robust protection inspired by the 14th century
This saucer cap is a faithful replica of a visorless bascinet , also known as a bonnet or bascinet helmet, based on historical models from the 14th century. Derived from the classic cerebral hood, this design was widely used on the medieval battlefield thanks to its enveloping shape and versatility.
Made for show combat
Made from 2mm steel , this helmet has been carefully welded from the crest up to ensure high strength. Its handcrafted two-piece construction offers great durability and protection, ideal for reenactment combat or exhibitions.
It includes a padded inner lining for added comfort, and brass rivets (vervelles) that allow you to attach a chainmail aventail to protect your neck and shoulders. These accessories are available in our "chain gear" category.
