Combat Saucer Cap – Bascinet Helmet without Visor, 2mm Steel
Rugged protection inspired by the 14th century
This saucer cap is a faithful replica of a visorless bascinet , also known as a bonnet or bascinet helmet, based on historical models from the 14th century. Derived from the classic brain hood, this design was widely used on medieval battlefields thanks to its enveloping shape and versatility.
Made for show combat
Forged from 2mm steel , this helmet has been carefully welded from the crest up to ensure superior strength. Its handcrafted two-piece construction provides great durability and protection, making it the ideal choice for historical reenactment combat or exhibitions.
It includes a padded inner lining for added comfort and is equipped with brass rivets (vervelles) that allow for the attachment of a chainmail aventail to protect the neck and shoulders. These additional accessories can be found in our "chain gear" category.
