The handle made of genuine ray skin, the sharp blade with tempered edge (60 HRC) and the unmistakable hamon line are typical tanto elements, the rest bears the special seal of Paul Chen's signature.

The knife has a 17cm long carbon steel blade and the sturdy handle under the stingray skin ensures sufficient strength and weight to handle the ability to effectively use the tanto's pommel. A locking tab (viseclip) offers a reliable hold on the powder coated steel sheath, which is also lined with nylon to allow for quiet use. Two positions are provided for holding the clip, allowing the tanto to be carried up or down by the handle.
