Get Tachi Katana, Cold Steel
Tachi katana, cold steel
The tachi was the sword of the samurai before it evolved into the katana after the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The tachi was a lighter, smaller, and more graceful sword, with a deeper bend and intended for one-handed use. Its fittings were beautiful and very distinctive. After the katana had been in use for some time, there was a period in Japan of returning to the ancient samurai of before the 14th century. A style of katana developed with the classic tachi fittings, the distinctive tsuba, fuchi and kashira fittings, and the saya fittings, forming a beautiful subset of the katana. The cold steel tachi kantana is a representation of these unique and beautiful swords, with its forged folded Damascus blade and beautiful gold-plated fittings.
