Completely battle-ready reconstruction of a Viking Age spangenhelm. This helmet variant was very popular among early medieval northern warriors, Vikings, Waragians, Rus, and Normans.

Made of 2 mm thick steel, the four parts of the helmet are welded together and firmly riveted to the overlapping fasteners. The 4 mm thick nose piece is hand-forged, as are the typical eyebrows . The solid workmanship and overlapping ensure maximum robustness and, therefore, excellent protection during exhibition combat. Inside the helmet is a high-quality, adjustable, padded insert. The two cowhide chin straps with brass buckles are also riveted.
