This helmet replica is based on the Germanic spangenhelms from around 500 AD. The pointed shape of the helmet, as well as the nose and cheek flaps, are typical of this period. The helmet is equipped with a very comfortable leather inlay with a chin strap. Due to its construction (overlapping clips), we classify this helmet as partially suitable for combat use.
