Replica of a typical Viking Age spangenhelm. The helmet has brow ridges above the nose, suggesting Scandinavian origins. This type of helmet was often worn in combination with a chainmail hood.

The helmet has a comfortable leather inlay, is fully leather-lined inside, and has a buckled chin strap. The very strong and sturdy nose piece is also padded with leather.
