Gift Frw Chain Holder For Helmets, Flat Ring With Wedge-Shaped Rivets, Di 8mm
Frw chain braid for helmets, flat ring with wedge rivets, id 8 mm
-Suitable for show combat-
A helmet braid is a chain mail that was worn over a helmet in the Middle Ages as additional protection for the neck and shoulders. The preferred helmet types here were the nasal helmet, but especially the late medieval bascule helmet and its variant, the dog gugel.
This ulfberth chain collar has an authentic serrated braided edge and a sewn-in strip of thick cowhide. The customer must attach the helmet attachment holes to these leather strips.
The frw type braid: This flat ring braid is made up of flat chain rings which are closed by means of wedge rivets (triangular rivets). This type of braid is typical of ring armour from the late Middle Ages in Europe. The braid is 4 in 1. We call this braid frw (English = flat ring w rivets).
