Give Skramasax, Saxophone Made Of Damascus Steel With Wooden/Bone Handle, With Defects

Skramasax / sax with Damascus blade and wooden/bone handle, with defects

Defective item at discounted price:

This saxophone knife shows signs of rust and slight signs of wear (see pictures). For this reason, this item is priced at a reduced price.

Please note that reduced price products that are expressly identified as defective items cannot be returned.

This broken back seax knife has a razor-sharp blade made of 256-layer Damascus steel. Towards the blade, the wooden handle ends with a layer of bone and a brass ferrule. The handle cap with a practical lanyard hole is also made of brass.

The beautiful leather sheath is richly decorated with brass fittings. Thanks to two leather loops attached to brass rings, the sax can be worn horizontally on the belt in typical Viking style.

It should be noted that the blade is sharp and fully functional, therefore this dagger is not suitable for display combat and is only intended as a collector's item or decorative object.

The term Damascus steel , Damascus steel or simply Damascus refers to a composite steel made from two or more different types of steel. The name derives from the Syrian city of Damascus, which is considered an ancient stronghold and the origin of Damascus steel production. Typically, a hard, high-carbon steel and a soft, low-carbon steel are joined together by repeated welding and forging. The high-carbon steel provides higher hardness, better hardenability, and increased edge retention, while the softer steel gives the blade greater elasticity and higher resistance to breaking. With this technology, which was developed in a time of poor and changing steel qualities, the positive properties of different steels can be combined. Due to the different colors with different carbon contents, impressive patterns of alternating layers are created, such as the so-called twist Damascus or rose Damascus . Due to these patterns, Damascus swords from the Middle Ages were said to have an inherent magic.
