Get Skramasax, Carbon Steel Sax (Seax) with Wood/Bone Handle
Skramasax / sax with carbon steel blade and wood/bone handle
This Seax Broken Back knife has a sharp carbon steel blade. Facing the blade, the wooden handle ends with a bone sheath and a brass ferrule. The handle cap, with a practical lanyard hole, is also made of brass.
The beautiful leather scabbard is richly decorated with brass fittings. Thanks to two leather loops attached to brass rings, the Sax (Seax) can be worn horizontally on the belt in typical Viking style.
This skramasax is designed as a collector's item or decorative object.
Details:
- Blade material: carbon steel, sharp edge
- Handle material: wood, animal bone, brass
- Total length: approx. 43.5cm
- Blade length: approx. 27 cm

The above specifications may vary slightly from copy to copy.
The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regular maintenance of the blade, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
Since bone and wood are natural products, variations in color and/or grain are quite normal. Therefore, no two handles of this Viking Sax (Seax) are alike, and the images above are for illustrative purposes only.
