Sherishòr is a throwback to the golden age of whisky and trade relations between Spain and Great Britain, when sherry was shipped in large quantities to the British Isles in casks.
In Scotch whisky distilleries, old empty barrels filled with precious sherry were very popular because it was thanks to prolonged storage in these barrels that the whiskies achieved an unprecedented richness of nuances.

Sherishòr is a small sensation today. Since the 1980s, the supply of authentic old sherry casks has largely been depleted due to reuse by sherry makers themselves, leaving whisky distilleries typically left with only the simplest industrial compromise. Sherry-flavored casks (seasoned casks) are used as a substitute. Authentic old sherry casks are rare and valuable.
That's why Sherishòr has taken the opposite route to achieve the unmistakable and nuanced flavor. Sourced from a well-known (but secret) distillery, it traveled to Spain after 3 years of storage in ex-bourbon casks in Scotland and was aged in the classic Sherry region for at least 9 years in the finest old sherry casks (up to 50 years old) in the
Legendary solera system in the special climate of a famous winery in Jerez, which the winemaker designated for this purpose.
Storage in Andalusia's mild Atlantic climate ensures noticeably faster ripening than in cold Scotland, making it even smoother and more aromatic. You'd expect that anyway.

Appearance: mahogany

Aroma: A medley of dark nuts with sherry-pickled prunes and raisins, accompanied by juicy Seville oranges and a hint of licorice, seasoned with a pinch of cinnamon and fine oak spices.

Flavor: Full-bodied attack of sweet black berry jam, dry sherry, juicy Seville oranges, and a fine herbaceous note, accompanied by subtle warm and spicy aromas of oak, sweet wood, and delicate dark chocolate.

Aftertaste: The creamy fruit jam lingers pleasantly with clear sherry notes, dry oak aromas, a hint of liquorice accompanied by herbs and fine dark chocolate.
