Enjoy Shashka - Cossack Sabre
Shashka - the long knife of the Russian Cossacks
The shashka has its origins among the mountain peoples of the Caucasus in the 12th and 13th centuries. These feared warriors were unparalleled on horseback, and the shashka contributed significantly to their tactical successes.
In the Russian Empire, the shashka was the Cossacks' weapon of choice. These strictly democratically organized warriors were the most sought-after mercenaries in Eastern Europe.
This Hanwei (Paul Chen) replica features a spring-steel blade that has the same high flexibility as the original swords. Thanks to its maneuverability and balance, this saber is perfect for quick parries and attacks. The blade is decorated with an engraving of the Imperial crest.
