Replica of a Russian dragoon military shashka, model 1811.

The shashka (Circassian = long knife) is a saber of Caucasian origin. The Cossacks living there still use this traditional saber as a standard weapon in their cavalry units.

This replica of the M1811 has a wooden handle and a brass forend with the typical ring at the end of the guard.

The saber comes with a matching leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with brass fittings.
