With the approval of the Shaolin Temple, Hanwei has produced a sword that combines the philosophical guidelines of Zen with the physical form of a kung fu jian, thus representing the unity of martial arts and philosophy. This sword embodies the spirit of the Shaolin Temple and its martial arts traditions in a simple yet elegant design. The blade of the Shaolin jian is forged from carbon steel, hardened, and polished. The detailed fittings feature lotus flower motifs and the Shaolin Temple logo in antique-looking stainless steel. The scabbard and handle of the sword are made of bamboo, illustrating the Zen spirit.
