Hanwei has now produced, with the approval of the Shaolin Temple, a sword that combines the philosophical guidelines of Zen with the physical form of a Kung Fu Jian, thus representing the unity of martial arts and philosophy. This sword embodies the spirit of the Shaolin Temple and its martial arts traditions in a simple yet elegant design. The blade of the Shaolin Jian is forged from carbon steel, hardened, and polished. The detailed details feature lotus flower motifs and the Shaolin Temple logo made of brass. The scabbard and handle of the sword are made of bamboo, illustrating the spirit of Zen.
