German Schaller, circa 1490, 1.6 mm steel
-Suitable for exhibition fights-
This very authentic reconstruction of a German Schaller is made of durable 1.6 mm sheet steel and is therefore suitable for some show combat. The neck plates, riveted to the helmet's bell, are easily movable. The visor is secured with beautiful hand-forged cloverleaf rivets.
The movable visor can be locked at the lowest level using an attached pin. The helmet has a comfortable leather inlay and a sturdy chin strap with a buckle.
The late medieval helmet type schaller also schallern was usually worn together with a matching helmet, beard or ruff.
