German Schaller, circa 1490, 1.6mm steel

This very authentic reconstruction of a German Schaller is made of 1.6 mm heavy-duty sheet steel and is therefore partly suitable for show combat. The neck plates riveted to the helmet hood can be easily moved. The visor is attached with beautiful, hand-forged cloverleaf rivets.

The movable visor can be locked in place at the lowest step by means of an attached pin. The helmet has a comfortable leather inlay and a solid chin strap with buckle.< br>
The late medieval helmet type schaller also schallern was usually worn together with a matching helmet, beard or ruff.
