Treat yourself to a Viking Long Sax (Seax), Peterson Type G, with a leather case

Viking long sax (Seax), Peterson type G, with leather case
Due to its total length of 82 cm, this Viking Age Sax (Seax) knife (also called skramasax ) can be classified more as a sword. It has a blunt, single-edged EN45 spring steel blade with a strong back and pointed tip. The full-length blade tang is securely riveted to the pommel. In the upper two-thirds of the blade, along the spine, there is a particularly wide groove that ends just before the blade tip. The wooden handle is tightly wrapped with a thin, brown leather strap.
What sets this early medieval one-handed sword apart from the crowd is the unconventional shape of its crossguard and pommel. Viking swords classified as Petersen type G are a very small group of rare, less common, and mostly single-edged swords. They are characterized by a lower guard and an upper guard, or pommel, which usually have tapered ends twisted into symmetrical spirals and pointing away from the handle. Since only a few finds are known so far, it remains rather difficult to make reliable statements about the exact dating and distribution of this sword type. However, based on the few surviving examples (or fragments thereof), experts are inclined to believe that type G swords originated in 9th and 10th-century Norway.
The Viking Long Sax (Seax) is delivered with a robust, high-quality sheath made of brown leather with beautiful, durable braided stitching.
This Viking sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object, but it is also ideal as an accessory (for example, to complete your costume) and will make your transformation into a proud Norse warrior simply perfect.
