This Viking Age Sax (Seax) knife (also called a skramasax ) has a long EN45 spring steel blade with a stout back, pointed tip, and double groove. The edge is unsharpened, and the continuous tang of the blade is riveted to the pommel.
The hilt consists of a sturdy, short, oval-shaped guard, a one-piece pommel in the late Viking Age style, and a handle with a wooden core tightly wrapped in brown leather. The guard and pommel are made of steel and blackened, making the handle striking and giving the medieval knife a rustic character.
The Viking Long Sax (Seax) comes with a sturdy, high-quality sheath made of vegetable-tanned brown leather with beautiful braided stitching. Two belt loops allow the Sax (Seax) to be worn horizontally on a belt in typical Viking style.
This Viking Sax (Seax) is designed as a collector's item or decorative object, but it is also ideal as an accessory (e.g. to complete your costume) and will make your transformation into a proud Norse warrior simply perfect.
