Gift Sax (Seax) Long Made of Damascus Steel.

Long Sax (Seax) made of Damascus steel
Is it your destiny to become a Viking jarl? If warrior blood runs through your veins, here are two weapons you'll simply love.
The Viking Damascus sword and its secondary weapon, the long Sax (Seax), are crafted from cold steels®. Hand-forged from the finest Damascus steel and delivered fully sharpened. Both impress with their superb workmanship. Each piece has a beautiful wooden handle. The guard and pommel are designed in the typical Viking style and have been polished to a high shine. Like Viking Age models, they consist of alternating layers of brass and steel stacked on top of each other.
The sword comes in a stunning wood and leather scabbard with a belt loop. The mouthpiece and bezel are made of brass and decorated with beautiful relief work. The long sax (seax) comes with a historically accurate scabbard made of sturdy leather with support rings, a relief-edged reinforcement, and a brass cover.
Damascus steel
The term damascus steel , damascus steel , or simply damascus refers to a composite steel made from two or more different types of steel. The name derives from the Syrian city of Damascus, which is considered an ancient stronghold and the origin of Damascus steel production. Typically, a hard, high-carbon steel and a soft, low-carbon steel are joined by repeated welding and forge folding. The high-carbon steel provides greater hardness, better hardenability, and longer edge retention, while the softer steel gives the blade greater elasticity and increased resistance to breaking. With this technology, which developed in an age of poor and changing steel qualities, the positive properties of different steels can be combined. Due to the different colors in different
The carbon content also creates stunning patterns of alternating layers. Because of these patterns, medieval Damascus swords were said to have an inherent magic.
