The medieval man at arms was a brave and loyal fighter filled with martial heroism who mastered a variety of weapons with great skill. He was a veteran of countless battles and was often the first to rush into battle. In honor of these tough and dedicated wandering soldiers, Cold Steel has created the Man at Arms ( MAA ) collection of weapons. Compared to Cold Steel’s premium versions, these combat-ready weapons lack the usual shiny blades and silver-polished steel elements, but the MAA series products are close to the other products in quality and performance. The fully-sharpened, blued blades are characterized by their unmistakable metallic look, which harmonizes perfectly with the handles. And when properly oiled, they reveal their inherent, radiant beauty.

The Man at Arms collection offers a selection of some of the finest Cold Steel blades, but at a significantly lower price point. The Cold Steel European Boar Spear is inspired by ancient Germanic hunting spears. With its characteristically wide, oversized, double-edged tip and prominent guard element, it is a highly efficient example of the legendary hunting tool. With its majestic, double-edged, leaf-shaped blade and pronounced reinforcing rib, this hunting spear can stab and cut with surprising ease. When the spear is used against dangerous animals, the powerful guard element prevents it from penetrating too deeply. They are also excellent parrying and trapping aids.
