This wrought iron skillet is handcrafted based on historical models. It has a long handle, making it ideal for roasting over an open fire. It is suitable for reenacting many eras and LARP.
The pan is lightly oiled to protect it from corrosion, as it is made of stainless steel.
Please note the following care instructions:
First, before using this cast iron skillet, you must first properly fry it . It's important to clean it thoroughly with hot water, a brush or sponge, and detergent, and then dry it. Then, add enough cooking oil (you can also use lard) to the skillet over high heat until the bottom is completely and thoroughly coated. The oil is then heated strongly. Raw potato peels or slices are then added to the skillet with a teaspoon of salt and fried until the bottom of the skillet darkens and the potato pieces have turned dark brown after being turned over several times. The empty, cooled skillet is then simply dabbed with a piece of toilet paper.
Cast iron pans should no longer come into contact with detergent after initial cleaning and treatment. Dishwasher cleaning is also a no-no. After use, clean the iron only with household paper and, if necessary, with hot water. The pan should then be lightly re-greased.
