Get Roman Sandals, Caligae Castleford/valkenburg
Roman Caligae based on finds at Castleford and Walkenburg
These high-quality Roman sandals are based on finds from Castleford (Great Britain) and Walkenburg (Netherlands). Caligae were the marching shoes of Roman soldiers.
The shoes are top-quality and made of vegetable-tanned leather. They have the typical 7 mm long Roman steel sole nails.
All vegetable-tanned leather shoes should be oiled or waxed on the outside before use and as needed to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
Details:
- Color: light brown (dyeable)
- Material: Vegetable-tanned cowhide, approx. 2 mm thick
- Nailed leather sole with authentic sole nails
- Available in sizes: 39 to 45
