Enjoy Polish Sabre
Polish saber
Several early 17th-century Polish sabers were used as a model for this addition to Cold Steels®, offering high-performance swords. Used on the battlefield both on foot and horseback, these sabers had a fearsome reputation. This was due not only to the skill of Polish nobles in handling their sabers, but also to the phenomenal cutting ability of these weapons.
Cold Steels® developed this historically significant blade by custom swordsmith Dave Baker. This saber is crafted from expertly hardened carbon steel. Its fully honed, distally tapered, and deeply curved blade gives it incredible slashing ability, yet is still rigid enough for effective thrusting attacks.
For optimal hand protection, it features a handlebar and guard with brass inserts. It also has a handy thumb ring to facilitate the so-called moulinet , a technique that allows the user to keep the blade in continuous motion so they can stop, cut, and change direction with lightning speed.
With its striking wire-wrapped red leather handle, matching leather scabbard, and open inserts for custom engraving, this sword's appearance is no less impressive than its functionality. This Polish saber certainly has what it takes to become the centerpiece of any martial artist or sword lover's collection.
Carbon steel 1055
The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes, and swords.
