Hungarian sabre
Due to its location on the world map, Hungary is a country that straddles the cultural influences of both East and West. This influence is also directly reflected in Hungarian weapons. The Hungarian saber is primarily a cutting and stabbing weapon, used primarily on horseback, although its use on the ground was also not uncommon.
The saber's blade is made of 1055 carbon steel with high spring hardening. It has an axe-shaped point, meaning the blade is wider at the point than at the crossguard. The saber's guard is very stable and, thanks to its width, offers more protection for the hand and forearm. Due to its greater width and length, a skilled swordsman can intercept a blow aimed at his hand, wrist, or forearm with a small twist of the wrist. It covers a large area, and a minimal movement by the defender is enough to block the path of an incoming blade.
The leather sheath hardware is cleverly designed and creates a light, shiny contrast with the black leather.
