Union Cavalry Officer's Sabre and Curb, Model 1860



This sabre features a 1065 carbon steel blade, a wire-wrapped leather handle and a triple-branch brass crossguard and pommel. The overall length is approx. 100 cm.



This beautiful reproduction sabre is a faithful replica of the sabres used in the period. The hand forged blade is made from British military steel which can be bent over 20° and return to its original shape. The leather handle is wrapped with wire. The 3-arm brass guard is carefully crafted and hand engraved, as is the brass pommel. On the blade are the words us ye pluribus unum engraved along with foliage and military trophies. The steel scabbard has a brass muzzle plate, rings and position plate.
