This authentic, handcrafted replica is hand-forged from 1095 carbon steel and thoroughly hardened, combined with original handle and scabbard materials to ensure it's every bit as stunning as the original. It features an ornate, supple blade and a brass wire-wrapped leather handle. It's just like the old sword of General Jo Shelby, the Missouri Cavalry leader who never relinquished his command. The hand-forged blade of this beautiful sword has CSA-certified engraving. CS is set into the crossguard in excellent detail. The scabbard is blued steel, with a brass mouthpiece, fittings, rings, and pull. Beautifully crafted. See Albaugh: Confederate Edged Arms, page 122.
