The American colonists, like most Europeans, were enamored of the handsome French hussar. The handcrafted handle of this American saber reflects their admiration for 18th-century French style. This swift, well-balanced sword was designed for mounted combatants. A solid steel handle with a spiral-carved wooden grip is mated to an effective, well-hardened 1085 carbon steel blade. It comes with a black leather sheath with steel fittings. It is factory-sharpened.
