Italian dueling sabre



Military sabres are generally very effective as slashing and stabbing weapons. However, they can also be quite heavy, so precise control over long periods of time could prove difficult. But the Italian dueling sabre is different! Its long, thin blade with a slight curve and sharp edge is light as a feather.



Many years ago, Cold Steels® master craftsman Ramon Martinez was introduced to this extremely effective blade by President Lynn C. Thompson and Lynn was so impressed that he began working on developing a Cold Steel® version.



Cold Steels® Italian dueling sabres can best be described as cleverly decorated . The skillfully forged blade has been heat-treated and polished, and the beautiful scroll patterns created by deep engraving make it an absolute eye-catcher. The cleverly openworked guard plate of brightly polished nickel steel has reinforced rolled edges and guarantees unsurpassed protection for the hand and forearm.



The beautiful, sturdy black leather case is equipped with two rings. The mouthpiece and bezel have been polished to a high gloss and provided with decorative engravings.



1055 carbon steel

The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free of the brittleness inherent in most high carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that need to have a high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes and swords.
