Italian dueling saber

Military sabers are generally very effective as slashing and stabbing weapons. However, they can also be quite heavy, so precise control for extended periods of time might be difficult. But the Italian dueling saber is different! Its long, thin blade with a slight curve and sharp edge is as light as a feather.

Many years ago, Master Bladesmith Ramón Martínez crafted Cold Steels®. President Lynn C. Thompson was introduced to this extremely effective blade, and Lynn was so impressed that he began working on developing a Cold Steel® version.

Cold Steels® Italian dueling sabers can best be described as cleverly decorated . The skillfully forged blade has been heat-treated and polished, and the beautiful scroll patterns created through deep engraving make it an absolute eye-catcher. The artfully openwork guard plate made of brightly polished nickel steel has reinforced rolled edges and guarantees unsurpassed protection for the hand and forearm.

The handsome, sturdy black leather case is fitted with two rings. The mouthpiece and bezel have been polished to a high gloss and decorated with decorative engravings.

Carbon steel 1055

The carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed knives, machetes, and swords.
