On the burning plains of Waterloo, as the British cavalry charged Napoleon's ranks, one weapon waved furiously through the powder mists: the Light Cavalry Sabre of 1796. Revered for its lethal curvature and slashing efficiency, this piece became a symbol of military might, adopted even by Prussian and German regiments well into the 20th century.
A combat-worthy replica
Cold Steel® has recreated this legendary saber with the same strength and determination of the soldiers who wielded it. Crafted from 1055 carbon steel , this saber is not a mere decorative relic, but a fully functional and razor-sharp weapon, capable of successfully passing the demanding British quality tests . Its curved blade, inspired by the Indian talwar, allows for deep, swift cuts, ideal for light cavalry.
This saber comes with a steel sheath , giving it an imposing and understated appearance while ensuring robust protection for the blade. A second option—not included in this model—includes a wooden scabbard with leather and fittings , also historical.
