Discover 1796 Light Cavalry Sabre With Scabbard.
Light cavalry sabre from 1796 with scabbard
The light cavalry sabre, model 1796, was one of the most widespread edged weapons among the Prussians and the British, who together victoriously defeated Napoleon's troops at Waterloo in 1815.
The blade shape is derived from the Indian talwar. This sabre was feared on the battlefield and was used by German units well into the 20th century due to its effectiveness.
The blade of our replica is made of spring steel, but is not sharpened. The sabre comes with a matching steel sheath with carrying rings.
Truly a piece of history.
