Discover the 1796 Light Cavalry Sabre with Scabbard.
Light cavalry saber from 1796 with scabbard
The light cavalry sabre, model 1796, was one of the most widespread bladed weapons among the Prussians and the British, who together victoriously defeated Napoleon's troops at Waterloo in 1815.
The blade shape is derived from the Indian talwar. This saber was feared on the battlefield and was used by German units well into the 20th century due to its effectiveness.
The blade of our replica is made of spring steel, but it's unsharpened. The saber comes with a matching steel sheath with carrying rings.
Truly a piece of history.
