The iconic status of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver of 1873 ( M1873 , also known as the SAA , Peacemaker or simply Colt .45 ) is undisputed. Developed based on a patent by Samuel Colt, this cartridge revolver was a robust pistol with a closed frame, a six-shot revolving drum and a right-handed ejector.

Aside from the Winchester carbine, almost no firearm better symbolizes the Wild West than the Colt SAA. This true piece of Americana has been produced in a variety of barrel lengths, but its overall appearance has remained unchanged since its introduction.



Our beautiful replica of this legendary western weapon is the short version with a barrel length of 4.75 inches. Unlike the standard cavalry version with a 7.5 inch barrel, this short variant was not used on the battlefield, but was intended exclusively for the civilian market (although some US Army officers may have had this type of weapon as an accessory). Therefore, it is sometimes referred to as a civilian or gunslinger .

The replica offered here combines ivory-look synthetic resin handles with blackened metal elements. Like the original Peacemaker, it has a 6-chamber rotating drum that rotates when the tap is turned on and can be fitted with the supplied decorative cartridges. The cartridges are fed through a pivoting side-loading flap.
