Get Fire Racket, Carbon Steel Spark Plug (Heat Treated), Double Rolled
Fire bat, spark plug made of carbon steel (heat treated), double rolled
This fire racket, forged from carbon steel, is based on historical originals used in the High Middle Ages. The ends of the spark igniter are double-wound.
If you strike the steel against the sharp edge of a flint, sparks are created that jump onto the dry tinder and make it glow. Tinder sponges were formerly used as tinder. These were obtained from tree sponges and made to glow by dipping them in a saltpeter solution or rubbing them with black powder.
