Although the Hanwei Raptor Tanto and Raptor Wakizashi (HN-SH2422) were primarily designed as secondary weapons suitable for the Raptor series katanas, they also make very effective stand-alone cutting tools. The blades are designed in the style of James Williams’ personal Nami Ryu swords. These pieces can be used to hone combat techniques with all three weapons while also completing an impressive collection.

Hanwei Raptor Series :

Under the leadership of sword master James Williams, the Raptor ( Bird of Prey) collection is designed specifically for those who do not necessarily have access to a training center but wish to be able to train and perfect their technique in handling blades.

Each blade is forged from 5160 carbon steel and undergoes a special heat treatment which guarantees very high durability and ensures that it can withstand heavy blows much better than a traditional differentially hardened blade. In addition, the structure of the steel used eliminates the need for excessive thickness of the blades, making the blades have the same weight and handling as the Japanese originals.
