Although the Hanwei Raptor Tanto and Raptor Wakizashi (HN-SH2422) were primarily designed as suitable secondary weapons for the Raptor series katanas, they are also highly effective standalone cutting tools. The blades are designed in the style of James Williams' personal Nami-Ryu swords. These pieces can be used to hone combat techniques with all three weapons while completing an impressive collection.

Under the leadership of sword master James Williams, the Raptor ( Bird of Prey I) collection is specifically designed for those who don't necessarily have access to a training center but want to be able to train and perfect their blade handling technique.

Each blade is forged from 5160 carbon steel and undergoes a special heat treatment that ensures extremely high durability and can withstand heavy blows much better than a traditional differentially hardened blade. Furthermore, the structure of the steel used eliminates the need for excessive blade thickness, resulting in blades that have the same weight and handling as the Japanese originals.
