Give yourself Raptor Katana 2, Shinogi Zukuri

Raptor katana, shinogi zukuri

When it comes to Japanese katanas, the shinogi-zukuri blade form has established itself as the most common and combines speed with sharpness, such as the Raptor shinogi katana offered here. These shinogi-zukuri blades have a pronounced ridge line at the tip (yokote) and the earliest examples appeared towards the end of the Heian period (circa 987 AD).

The raptor i> series from hanwei :

Under the leadership of sword master James Williams, the Raptor Collection was developed specifically for those who do not necessarily have access to a training center, but wish to be able to train and perfect their blade handling technique.

Each blade is forged from 5160 carbon steel and undergoes a special heat treatment that provides a very high level of durability. Strength is guaranteed and ensures that it can withstand strong blows much better than a conventional differentially hardened blade.

In addition, the structure of the steel used makes the thickness of the blades unnecessary, so the blades are equal to the Japanese originals in weight and handling. The cutting geometry is designed so that no burrs are formed when cutting both soft and semi-hard materials. This allows a wide selection of target materials.

Each katana in the series has its own unique blade design that has its origins in the history of Japanese sword forging. This means that you can choose from the range based on both aesthetic and handling criteria.
