In the history of the spear, the leaf-shaped point was a recurring shape. As early as the Bronze Age, it was used for both hunting and fighting, and it was used in a wide variety of forms in many eras and cultures, from the Celts to the ancient Romans and from the Greeks to the Vikings, well into the Middle Ages.

The spearhead we offer here is made of heat-treated EN45 carbon steel. It measures approximately 31.5 cm long, has a broad blade approximately 20 cm long, and two holes allow it to be mounted on a wooden handle of your choice to create your own spear. Delivery is without a shaft or mounting hardware.

Alternatively, collectors can also purchase our wooden spearhead stand (sold separately, item number 1816375000) to stylishly display their treasures in their armory.

Please note that this spearhead was designed primarily as a collector's item, decorative object, or accessory and is not suitable for exhibition combat! The blade tip is not rounded, and the edges are not sharpened, but ground (with proper equipment and practical experience, they can be sharpened if necessary).

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regularly treating the spearhead, for example with Ballistol, a universal oil ideal for preserving steel products.
